Bruce Featherstone Life Science Building
Bruce Featherston Life Sciences Building

The 103,000-square-foot Life Sciences Building is home to LMU’s programs in biology, chemistry, biochemistry, environmental science, health and human sciences, science education, and urban ecology. It embodies LMU’s commitment to sustainability with more than 8,200 square feet of solar panels that generate 10 percent of the facility’s electricity. This iconic campus building achieved LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Gold certification in 2015.

The Bluff

Ask alumni what their favorite place at LMU is and you're sure to hear that the bluff is a hands-down Lion favorite. The beautiful trail that follows the bluff behind Sacred Heart Chapel is a particularly serene place to enjoy a moment of peaceful reflection after a busy day on campus.

Xavier Hall

Xavier Hall was the first building constructed on campus in 1929 and was originally intended to be used as housing for LMU’s Jesuit community. The building is now home to offices for the dean and faculty in the LMU School of Film and Television.

Sunken Garden

Every afternoon on Sunken Garden holds a new opportunity. From a class circling up under the shade of a palm tree to a group of Lions enjoying a game or meal together - the garden is the perfect place to make memories with friends. It's also the stunning location each year for LMU's commencement ceremonies.
